Shreveport Forward Greiner makes NCAA Commitment

The Shreveport Mudbugs of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Jared Greiner has committed to play NCAA hockey for Bethel University in the MIAC.

The 20-year-old from the State of Hockey will head to his home state to play for the Bethel Royals in the fall. Greiner just wrapped up his first full season in the NAHL. The ‘06 lefty laced up in 62 games for the Mudbugs, registering 16 points for the team during the regular season. Greiner was one game shy of playing in every regular season contest. He found twine eight times and produced eight assists during his time in the South Division. Two of his tallies were scored on the man advantage, while one of his goals was scored on the penalty kill this season.

The Victoria, Minnesota, native got his first taste of the League of Opportunity during the 2024-25 season with a one-game appearance with Shreveport.

Greiner is one of seven members of the Shreveport Mudbugs to make a college ice hockey commitment.
