Shreveport Forward Diiulio makes NCAA Commitment
The Shreveport Mudbugs of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Vinny Diiulio has committed to play NCAA hockey for Trine University in the NCHA.
The 20-year-old from Homer Glen, Illinois, Diiulio will head to Angola, Indiana, to skate for the Trine Thunder in the fall. Diiulio was a 2025 NAHL Entry Draft pick by the Shreveport Mudbugs. This season, the 5-foot-11 righty skated in 54 contests for the South Division team. He registered six goals while making 10 assists for the Mudbugs. Diiulio scored one goal on the man advantage and one on the penalty kill this season. In addition to his regular season play, Diiulio played five postseason games with the Mudbugs, earning a spot in the South Division Semifinals.
This upcoming fall, Diiulio will not be the only Mudbug on the Trine Thunder roster. He will head to Indiana with his Shreveport teammate Evan Adams.
Diiulio is one of seven members of the Shreveport Mudbugs to make a college ice hockey commitment.
