Maine Defenseman Estey makes NCAA Commitment

The Maine Nordiques of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Cole Estey has committed to play NCAA hockey for Endicott College in the CNE.

The 6-foot-1 righty from Massachusetts, Estey will play in his home state to play for the Endicott Gulls in the fall. The 6-foot-1 blueliner is a second-year veteran of the Nordiques, skating 111 games in a Maine sweater. The 21-year-old registered 17 points in 45 games played during the 2025-26 season. One of his goals was scored in game-winning fashion while another one was tallied on the penalty kill.

In Estey’s first full season in the League of Opportunity, the ‘05 defenseman laced up in 64 contests for the Nordiques. He lit the lamp five times while producing 14 assists. The Massachusetts native recorded 19 points in his first full season of junior hockey. featured a +14 rating from his rookie season while scoring one goal on the power play and one on the penalty kill. The 6-foot-1 skater got his first taste of the NAHL with a two-game call-up in the 2023-24 season with the Nordiques.

The ‘05 skater sported 36 points in his 111 career games in the NAHL. He tallied nine career goals and 27 assists.

Estey is not the only Nordique player heading to the Gulls program in the fall. He will continue to skate with Jack Klevby and Josh Itri in Beverly, Massachusetts.

Endicott College might be a newer program, joining the college hockey ranks in 2015; however, the Gulls have become a contender year after year for postseason notoriety. The team has notched five NCAA tournament appearances since 2017.

Estey is one of six members of the Maine Nordiques to make an NCAA hockey college commitment.
