Maine Forward Itri makes NCAA Commitment

The Maine Nordiques of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Josh Itri has committed to play NCAA hockey for Endicott College in the CNE.

The ‘06 skater from Sandwich, Massachusetts, Itri will stay in his home state to skate with the Endicott College Gulls in the fall. Itri just wrapped up his first season of playing in the League of Opportunity with the Maine Nordiques. The 5-foot-9 forward laced up for 50 regular season games, scoring 23 points with the East Division team. The 20-year-old scored eight goals and made 15 assists in that span. Three of his tallies were scored in decider fashion, while two goals were tallied in power-play fashion.

In the postseason, Itri made an impact on the scoresheet with a three-point performance in three playoff games. The ‘06 forward scored a goal and made two assists for the Nordiques.

Itri is not the only Nordique player heading to the Gulls program in the fall. He will continue to skate with Cole Estey and Jack Klevby in Beverly, Massachusetts.

Endicott College might be a newer program, joining the college hockey ranks in 2015; however, the Gulls have become a contender year after year for postseason notoriety. The team has notched five NCAA tournament appearances since 2017.

Itri is one of six members of the Maine Nordiques to make an NCAA hockey college commitment.
