St. Cloud Goaltender Liden makes NCAA Commitment

The St. Cloud Norsemen of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that goaltender Beck Liden has committed to play NCAA hockey for Gustavus Adolphus College in the MIAC.

The 5-foot-11 St. Cloud netminder will join the Golden Gusties in his home state this upcoming fall. Liden is a second-year veteran of the Norsemen, playing 89 games in net for the Minnesota-based team. The 21-year-old this past season played between the pipes in 47 contests. He recorded a .903 save percentage and a 3.18 goals-against average. The Alexandria, Minnesota, native recorded two shutouts for the Norsemen during the regular season. The State of Hockey goaltender played the second most games, minutes between the pipes, and saves in the League of Opportunity.

His work on the ice earned him a spot at the annual Top Prospects Tournament. Liden represented the Central Division team, and the ‘05 netminder turned aside all 12 shots, recording a shutout during the annual event.

In Liden’s debut season in the League of Opportunity, the Norsemen played in the crease for 42 contests. He recorded a 2.38 goals-against average and .894 save percentage for the Norsemen in 42 games played. Liden recorded six shutouts for St. Cloud during the 2024-25 season.

Liden is one of eight members of the St. Cloud Norsemen to make a college ice hockey commitment.
