Bismarck Forward Rakowski makes NCAA Commitment
The Bismarck Bobcats of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Ben Rakowski has committed to play NCAA hockey for Gustavus Adolphus College in the MIAC.
Rakowski shares his excitement to join the Golden Gusties and his gratitude to the Bobcats organization.

The 6-foot-1 lefty from Greenwood Village, Colorado, Rakowski will head to the State of Hockey to skate with the Golden Gusties in the fall. Rakowski is a second-year NAHL veteran, skating 123 games in the League of Opportunity. This past season, he played one game shy of every regular season contest with the Bobcats. The ‘06 forward recorded 25 points in 58 contests played. The Colorado native tallied 12 goals and 13 assists for the Central Division team, registering one game-winning goal and one short-handed goal during the regular season.
During the postseason, Rakowski laced up in five playoff games, tallying one goal for Bismarck.
Before joining the Bobcats, the ‘06 forward played in his home state for the Colorado Grit. He wore the Grit sweater in 56 games during the 2024-25 season, notching 21 points in that span. He logged eight goals and 13 assists in his rookie season. Two of his tallies were scored in game-winning fashion, while four were notched on the man advantage.
Rakowski got his first taste of the NAHL during the 2023-24 season, when he played in four games for the Colorado Grit. He recorded three assists for the South Division team.
For his NAHL career, the 20-year-old appeared in 123 games, registering 50 points across the three seasons.
Rakowski is one of 16 members of the Bismarck Bobcats to make an NCAA hockey college commitment.
