Northeast Goaltender Mizenko makes NCAA Commitment

The Northeast Generals of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that goaltender Will Mizenko has committed to play NCAA hockey for Endicott College in the CNE.

The 6-foot-5 netminder from the Empire State, Mizenko, will join the Endicott College Gulls in the fall. Mizenko is a second-year veteran of the NAHL, playing 72 games in net in his junior hockey career. The ‘05 goaltender spent this past season with the Northeast Generals, playing between the pipes for 41 regular season games. Mizenko recorded 22 wins, spotlighted a .916 save percentage and a 2.67 goals-against average. The New York native recorded the third most minutes in the regular season amongst goaltenders while ranking in the top 10 in the league with 22 wins and his .916 save percentage. Mizenko secured three shutout performances in the regular season as well for the Generals.

Thanks to his work in the blue paint, the ‘05 netminder was recognized on multiple occasions in his final year of junior hockey. He was named an East Division Star of the Week on April 6, 2026. Mizenko would go on to be named a Goaltender of the Year Finalist and named to the All-East Division team. In addition to the awards, he was named as a Top Prospect for the East Division team at the annual Top Prospects Tournament. He represented the East Division team at the annual event at the USA Hockey Arena.

In the postseason, Mizenko helped to keep the Generals' playoff hopes alive. After dropping game one to the Maine Nordiques in the East Division Play-In series, Mizenko would win back-to-back contests to seal his team a spot in the East Division Semifinals. In the next round of play, the 6-foot-5 netminder would battle back from falling in game one and game two to the Rochester Jr. Americans. He put up back-to-back victories for the Jr. Americans, forcing the series to go to a decisive game five. Mizenko battled in game five, turning aside 43 shots and ultimately being faced with an overtime period of hockey. The Generals would fall in extra minutes; however, Mizenko’s ability to produce wins in do-or-die moments was prevalent in the postseason.

Before joining the Northeast Generals, Mizenko spent a season playing for the Minot Minotauros in the Central Division. The New York native played in 23 games between the pipes for the Tauros, registering 10 wins for the North Dakota-based team. He notched a .914 save percentage and 2.26 goals-against average in the span.

Endicott College might be a newer program, joining the college hockey ranks in 2015; however, the Gulls have become a contender year after year for postseason notoriety. The team has notched five NCAA tournament appearances since 2017.

Mizenko is one of 13 members of the Northeast Generals to make a college ice hockey commitment.
