New Mexico Forward Malyshev makes NCAA Commitment

The New Mexico Ice Wolves of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Anton Malyshev has committed to play NCAA hockey for SUNY Plattsburgh in the SUNYAC.

The 5-foot-10 skater from Moscow, Russia, Malyshev will join the Cardinals in New York this upcoming fall. Mayshev just wrapped up his rookie season in the League of Opportunity, skating in 52 regular-season contests with the Ice Wolves. The ‘06 forward recorded 29 points in his debut year, lighting the lamp 11 times while logging 18 assists for the South Division club. Two of his tallies were scored in deciding fashion for the team while two goals were registered on the power play. 

Malyshev continued his production on the ice in the postseason, recording an assist in three playoff games. 

Malyshev is one of 15 members of the New Mexico Ice Wolves to make a college ice hockey commitment.
