Head coach of the Hat Tricks, Adam Dauda, is a former Division I hockey player who laced up for Colgate University. With firsthand experience of what it takes to play at the NCAA level and balance hockey, he says that perspective helps him guide his athletes through the recruiting process.
“I was fortunate because it was a really good education and it was pretty intense that way. So I was fortunate to be able to go to school like that. At the same time, it comes with a huge workload, and you can't really just completely prioritize hockey. So I think it's good to have that perspective to give to these young players moving forward.”
Dauda steps into year one as the bench boss of the Connecticut-based team. He talks more about his goals for the year and how he is looking to build on the foundation that has been laid by previous Danbury teams.
