Janesville Defenseman Rudman makes NCAA DI Commitment
The Janesville Jets of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Daniel Rudman has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Army-West Point in the Atlantic.
The 6-foot-1 blueliner is a first-year skater in the League of Opportunity. The ‘09 skater has laced up in 13 games for the Midwest Division club, registering three points in his debut season. He found twine once while recording two assists for the Jets. Currently, the 17-year-old spotlights a +4 rating on the ice.
The Janesville Jets selected Rudman second overall in the inaugural NAHL Futures Draft in 2025.
The Elmhurst, Illinois, native explains what it means to commit to the Black Knights program.
“My commitment to Army means a great deal to me, and I’m honored to continue my hockey career at the Division I level while receiving an outstanding education. I chose Army because of its coaching staff and the opportunity to challenge myself both on and off the ice.”
Head coach of the Jets, Lennie Childs, went into detail on why Rudman is deserving of the honor.
“Danny is a player who has a professional mindset and is very mature for his age. Off the ice, he is detailed with his routines and his day-to-day focus on getting better. On the ice, he plays like a veteran with his physical play and simple reads as a young defenseman on the backend. We are very excited for Danny and his family.”
Rudman is one of four members of the Janesville Jets to have a Division I hockey college commitment.
