New Mexico forward Rudrud makes NCAA commitment

The New Mexico Ice Wolves of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that Top Prospects forward Spencer Rudrud has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for St. John’s University.
Rudrud, 21, just completed his second and final season playing in the NAHL for the Ice Wolves. The 6’1/192 lbs. native of Eden Prairie, MN, finished 2nd in team scoring during the 2020-21 season, recording 45 points (18 goals, 27 assists) in 53 games played.
Rudrud was selected to and played in the 2021 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament for the South Division team. Rudrud was named the South Division Star of the Week on October 26, 2020
During his rookie campaign in 2019-20, Rudrud appeared in 51 regular season games and recorded 22 points (11 goals, 11 assists).
Overall in his two-year NAHL career, Rudrud appeared in 104 career regular season games and posted 67 points.
Prior to playing in the NAHL, Rudrud had a standout high school career in Minnesota with the Eden Prairie Eagles, where he helped the team to the Class AA State Championship Game in 2019. In 69 career games with Eden Prairie, Rudrud recorded 48 points.
