Fairbanks forward MacIntosh makes NCAA DI commitment

The Fairbanks Ice Dogs of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward Dakota MacIntosh has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for the University of Maine in Hockey East.
MacIntosh, 17, is in his first season playing junior hockey in the NAHL for the Ice Dogs. The 6’2/185 lbs. native of Winnipeg, MB, has recorded 25 points (13 goals, 12 assists) in 32 games played so far this season.
“Proud and honoured to announce my commitment to play D1 hockey at the University of Maine. I want to thank my parents, friends, teammates, and coaches who have helped me reach where I am today. #GoBlackBears,” stated MacIntosh.
MacIntosh was named the Midwest Division Star of the Week for November 22-28, 2021, as his five-point week led the Ice Dogs to two wins. He had a pair of assists in last weekend’s sweep of Kenai River.
MacIntosh spent the two previous seasons playing 18U hockey for the Winnipeg Bruins.
He is the 7th player on the Ice Dogs 2021-22 roster who has made an NCAA Division I commitment.
