Maine defenseman Pellerin makes NCAA commitment

The Maine Nordiques of the North American Hockey League are proud to announce defenseman Jacob Pellerin has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for the University of New England.
Pellerin, 20, is in his third season of playing junior hockey and first in the NAHL. The 6’0/195 lbs. native of Windham, New Hampshire has appeared in 29 games to date and put up five assists.
“Jacob has been a complete pro since Day 1 of the season. He is an outstanding student of the game and makes his teammates better every day. He maximizes every opportunity to get better every day,” said Nordiques head coach Matt Pinchevsky. “He is also a stout defender at the blue line coming up with big poke checks and takeaways in key moments. We have been very impressed with the way he goes about his business and we know that he will have a positive impact for Coach Swallow and the UNE community and program.”
Pellarin is also another example of the ladder of development from the NAPHL to the NAHL, having played in the NAPHL previously for the Northern Cyclones during the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons.
