Fairbanks forward Ricotta makes NCAA DI commitment

The Fairbanks Ice Dogs of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward Cameron Ricotta has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Mercyhurst University in Atlantic Hockey.
Ricotta, 19, is currently competing in his second season of junior hockey with the Ice Dogs in the NAHL. The 5’9/170 lbs. native of Buffalo, NY, finished 5th in team scoring during the 2021-22 regular season with 44 points (24 goals, 20 assists) in 60 games played. He also has two assists through the first two 2022 Robertson Cup Playoff games.

During his rookie season in 2020-21, Ricotta appeared in 30 regular season games and had 12 points.
Overall in his two seasons in Fairbanks, Ricotta posted 56 points in 90 career regular season games.
Prior to playing in the NAHL, Ricotta played two seasons for the Nichols School.
