Jets forward Callin makes NCAA Div. I commitment

The Janesville Jets, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that forward Drew Callin has made a commitment to play NCAA Division I hockey for Bentley University of Atlantic Hockey.
Callin (6’2/190) is 19 years old and calls Middleton, Wisconsin home. This season, Callin appeared in 56 regular season games posting 33 points 16 goals and 17 assists. In 3 playoff games Callin posted 3 points 2 goals and 1 assist. Was also selected and participated in this season’s NAHL Top Prospects tournament for Team North.
“We are very proud of Drew because this commitment is a result of all the hard work he puts in on and off of the ice. He is the type of player a coach looks for. He will push himself and his teammates to be better everyday. He has a passion for this game that drives him to improve everyday with a work ethic that is contagious. Bentley is getting a great young man that will be a great addition to their already great tradition,” said Janesville head coach Joe Dibble.
“Bentley has a great men’s hockey program to go along with great academics, and I believe it’s the best fit for me. It has always been a dream of mine to play Division I college hockey and to pursue that dream at Bentley will be an unbelievable experience. I also want to thank my family, teammates, coaches and anybody who has supported me along the way,” said Callin.
Callin is the eighth player on the current 2013-14 Jets roster to have secured an NCAA Division I commitment, joining Kyle Patava (Army), Nick Petrella (Holy Cross) , Jordan Himley (Air Force), Jesse Junttila (Northern Michigan), Michael Louria(UMASS Lowell), Austin Priebe (Air Force), Robin Hoglund (University of Minnesota) and Logan Halladay (University of Minnesota).
