Johnstown 1 @ Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 0In a low-scoring contest, the Johnstown Tomahawks shut out the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights 1-0 Sunday afternoon at the Revolution Ice Centre.

Johnstown and the Knights met in a Sunday matinee and both teams were looking to gain ground in the East Division.

The Tomahawks netted the game's one and only goal at 14:55 of the first period when Edward Hirka fired a shot from the point that found its way behind Knights goaltender Grant Valentine. Logan Stork and Tommy Horn registed the helpers on Hirka's first of the season.

The Knights would have opportunities to tie the game at 1-1 in the third period including a late power play chance but The Tomahawks defense stood tall and maintained the 1-0 lead for the victory.

In the win, Purpura stopped eight total Knights shots and improved his record to 7-2-1.
