Brookings forward Cardelli makes NCAA DI commitment

The Brookings Blizzard, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that forward Nick Cardelli has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Bemidji State University in the WCHA.
Cardelli, 20, is coming off a great season with the Blizzard in 2016-17. The native of Wood Dale, Illinois, was tied for 2nd on team in scoring with 53 points (20 goals, 33 points) in 59 games played during the regular season.
Cardelli (5’10/175) was named the NAHL Forward of the Month in February 2017, as he recorded 14 points in nine games.
Cardelli was also selected to and played in the 2017 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament for the Central Division team, where he had one assists in two games played.
“I would like to thank my family, friends and coaches along the way that have helped me achieve my goal of playing NCAA Division I college hockey,” said Cardelli.
During the 2015-16 season, Cardelli played in 26 games for the Blizzard and recorded 15 points. In 85 games in his NAHL career, he has recorded 68 points.
Prior to playing in the NAHL, Cardelli played for the Chicago Mission 18U team in the HPHL.
