Friday Finals: Jackalopes offense explodes in win

Thanks to two goals in a 3-0 win on Friday, Minnesota Wilderness forward Luke Dow helped his team move into 3rd place in the Central as he became the all-time leading scorer in Wilderness team history.

Lone Star 0 @ Odessa 7 - The Odessa offense caught fire as they routed the Lone Star Brahmas 7-0. 14 different Jackalopes registered at least one point in the victory. Jared Christy notched a pair of goals while Kellen Tharaldson, Jan Blasko, Zach Heintz and Vaclav Zidek all had a goal and an assist. Connor Smith also picked up a goal for Odessa. Alex Camarre stopped 25 shots and now has two shutouts on the year. Seth Eisele and Conan Hayton combined for 37 saves. 
 
Bismarck 0 @ MN Wilderness 3 - A huge third period gave the Minnesota Wilderness a crucial 3-0 win over the Bismarck Bobcats. Ryan Fanti made 32 saves to pick up his second shutout of the season. Luke Dow scored twice and Dylan Johnson scored once to lead the Wilderness. John Roberts took the loss despite making 23 saves.
 
Janesville 2 @ Springfield 4 - Ben Schmidling lit the lamp twice and Nikita Kozyrev tallied a goal and an assist to lead the Springfield Jr. Blues to their fifth straight win. Nick Techel also grabbed a goal and an assist for the Jr. Blues. Jack Williams made 15 saves to earn the victory. Justin Engelkes and Brenden MacLaren scored goals for the Jets while Cole Brady took the loss as he made 21 saves.
 
Topeka 0 @ Shreveport 3 - Maiszon Balboa stood tall and denied all 24 Topeka shots to earn his first shutout of the season as the Shreveport defeated Topeka 3-0. Warren Natyshak, Dakota Concannon and Anton Rubtsov all picked up goals on home ice for the Mudbugs. Emil Gransoe was dealt the loss as he made 37 saves.
 
Austin 1 @ Aberdeen 5 - Brad Belisle tallied a hat trick to lead the Aberdeen Wings to their 17th consecutive victory as they took care of the Austin Bruins 5-1. Stepan Pokorny and Jonathan Bendorf each brought the crowd to its feet. Max Salpeter and John Sladic each three assists in the win for Aberdeen. Matt Vernon’s 35 saves turned into his 26th victory of the season. Levi Stauber score the lone goal for the Bruins while Kyle McClellan stopped 37 shots for the Bruins. 
 
New Jersey 5 @ Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 4 - Gavin Gulash and Cam Gendron each had a goal and an assist to lead the New Jersey Titans to a 5-4 win over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights. Zach Nazzarett, Kyle Jeffers and Mitch Machlitt all found the back of the net as well for New Jersey. Brandon Perrone grabbed the win in goal, he made 37 saves. Jake Fuss potted a pair of goals while Zak Currie and Beck Moore had a goal and an assist. Samuel Vyletelka stopped 27 shots for the Knights.
 
Maryland 1 @ Jamestown 4 - Ryan Keane stopped 23 shots and picked up his 18th win of the season as the Jamestown Rebels defeated the Maryland Black Bears 4-1. Nick Petruolo, Jake Felker, Caleb Price and Hunter Johannes all found the back of the net in the win. Luc Salem had the only goal for the Black Bears while Anthony Del Tufo made 31 saves. 
 
Minot 2 @ Brookings 4 - Three points from Tyler Hinterser led the Brookings Blizzard to their third straight win as they knocked off Minot 4-2. Bud Winter scored two goals and Ryan Green also lit the lamp. George McBey denied 22 Minot shots to earn the victory. Brennan Couet and Keenan Lund scored for the Minotauros while Ben Garrity made 24 saves.
 
Amarillo 4 @ Corpus Christi 0 - Jason Grande turned aside all 31 shots thrown his way and the Amarillo Bulls took care of the Corpus Christi IceRays 4-0. Alex Peterson scored a pair of goals, Louis Helsen and Nick Anderson also found the back of the net. Gabriel Seger and Cooper Fensterstock each finished the night with two assists. Brian George made 34 saves and took the loss for Corpus Christi.
