The Aberdeen Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that forward Michael Perrone has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for UMass-Dartmouth.
The 20-year-old from Mount Sinai, New York, joined the Wings late in the season, but was able to play a role in their Robertson Cup Championship Run.
Perrone (5’8/180) played in 15 games for the Wings during the regular season and the playoffs, putting up two assists.
"Michael was a big addition to our roster. He is a player that relies on wok ethic and doing things the right way to be successful. UMass-Dartmouth is getting an all around quality individual,” said Wings Head Coach/GM Scott Langer.
"I felt that it was a great fit from the moment I met the coaches and stepped on campus. UMass-Dartmouth just has everything that I could want in a school, challenging academics and a great hockey program. I am really excited for the next four years of my life and becoming a Corsair,” said Perrone.
Last season UMass-Dartmouth had a 13-11-2 overall record and a 10-6-2 conference record.
