Bobcats come from behind to beat Blizzard, 4-2
February 5, 2020
Bismarck 4 @ St. Cloud 2 – The Bismarck Bobcats erased an early 2-0 deficit and scored four unanswered goals to pick up a 4-2 win in St. Cloud in the lone NAHL game on Tuesday night.
It looked as if things were going to go the Blizzard’s way early on as goals from Bud Winter and Owen Belisle in the first eight minutes of the contest put the home side ahead, 2-0. However, the Bobcats seized control of the momentum late in the period as Lars Rodne scored his 16th of the season with a power play goal to make it 2-1.
Rodne wasn’t done there as he added another power play goal in the 2nd period to tie the game at 2-2.
In the 3rd period, the power play again struck for the Bobcats as Sam Martel lit the lamp with 7:24 to go in regulation for what was to be the eventual game-winner. Late in the game, Jacob Marti added a power play, empty-net goal to make it a 4-2 final score.
Andrew Miller made 10 saves in the win, while Tyler Bost made 35 saves in the loss.
