Chippewa forward Moberg makes NCAA commitment

April 29, 2020
The Chippewa Steel of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that Top Prospects forward Isaac Moberg has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

“I’d like to thank everyone who pushed and helped me get to where I am today. I’m very excited to play at such a great program,” stated Moberg.

The 6’0/195 lbs. native of St.Paul, Minnesota, played in 49 games for the Steel during the 2019-20 season, scoring 8 goals and recording 22 assists for 30 points. Moberg was also selected to compete in the 2020 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament in February where he recorded one assist in two games.  Prior to coming to Chippewa Falls last season he played 59 games for the Minnesota Wilderness.

“Isaac worked extremely hard to earn this opportunity. He was a great leader for our team and we’re happy to see him continue his playing career at UW- Stevens Point,” said Steel Head Coach Carter Foguth.

Overall in his three-year NAHL career, which has been spent with both the Steel and Minnesota Wilderness, Moberg has appeared in 154 career NAHL games and posted 65 points.
