Kansas City forward Green makes NCAA D1 commitment
The Kansas City Scouts (formerly the Topeka Pilots) of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that Top Prospects forward Quinn Green has committed to play NCAA Division 1 hockey for University of Alabama-Huntsville.
“Excited to announce my commitment to play Division 1 hockey at the University of Alabama Huntsville. Thank you to everyone who has helped along the way,” stated Green on Instagram.
Green, 21, just completed his third and final season playing junior hockey in the NAHL. The 5’11/170 lbs. native of West Chicago, Illinois ended the 2019-20 season with 39 points (20 goals, 19 assists) in 50 games played.
Green represented the South Division at the 2020 Top Prospects Tournament in Attleboro, Massachusetts in February where he tallied the first goal for his team.
“Huntsville just landed one of the best goal scorers in our league. So proud and excited to see Quinn get to live out his dream and help launch UAH to new heights,” stated Associate Head Coach and Director of Scouting, Justin DeMartino.
Green made his NAHL debut during the 2017-18 season with the Topeka RoadRunners. In his first full season (2018-19) he appeared in 56 games where he recorded 23 goals and 15 assists. Overall in his NAHL career, Green has appeared in 110 career games and recorded 79 points.
“We are ecstatic to see Quinn commit to UAH. He took his game to the next level this season by investing in the small details. We are proud of what he has accomplished thus far and can’t wait to follow his progress through College hockey and beyond,” stated Scouts Head Coach Simon Watson.
Prior to playing in the NAHL, Green played for the Chicago Fury U18 and Team Illinois U16.
