Generals ride Haas to 3-1 win in Maine on Wednesday

Hugo Haas made 26 saves in a 3-1 win on Wednesday.

Northeast 3 @ Maine 1 – Northeast Generals goalie Hugo Haas made 26 saves to lead his team to a 3-1 win on Wednesday over the Maine Nordiques. The Generals were bolstered by a strong start with two goals late in the 1st period just :36 seconds apart as Kyle Schroeder and Ricky Boysen scored to make it 2-0. The Nordiques took the intermission to swap goalies as Tyriq Outen replaced Avery Sturtz. The Nordiques managed to cut the lead down to one goal as Cannon Green scored his 3rd goal of the season early in the 2nd period to make it a 2-1 game. However, late in the 3rd period, the Generals got an insurance goal from JR Perdion to make it a 3-1 final. Sturtz took the loss with 8 saves and Outen stopped 21 of 22 shots in a relief appearance.
