Wichita Falls forward Brueck makes NCAA DI commitment

March 26, 2021

The Wichita Falls Warriors of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward Adisen Brueck has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Lindenwood University to further his hockey and academic career.

The 5’11/190 lbs. native of Chesterfield, Missouri native will be returning to his home state for his college career and the close proximity to home was a big part of his decision to commit to Lindenwood.

“I’m extremely excited and honored that I get to play Division I hockey, especially with a new program,” said Brueck. “I love the fact that it’s close to home and that my parents can come to every game. I got a very warm and family type feeling from the staff that I wanted to be a part of.  Also, the fact that it will be a new Division I program that I get to help build.”

Brueck is familiar with the Lindenwood University Lions hockey program which currently competes in the American Collegiate Hockey Association at the NCAA Division I level, but the men’s ice hockey program will make the transition to NCAA Division I, starting in the 2022-23 season.

This season with the Warriors, Brueck has recorded a total of 17 points on 9 goals and 8 assists in 36 games played. The Warriors forward has been an important presence in the Wichita Falls locker room since the very being of the teams inaugural season.

Brueck played in the NAHL during the 2019-20 season for the Springfield Jr. Blues, appearing in 48 games and recording 17 points. Overall in 84 NAHL career games to date, he has recorded 34 points.

“The coaches and team have really pushed me and allowed me to be myself, which in return allows me to play my best hockey.”

Brueck joins six other Warriors who have already made their commitments and will get the chance to play alongside team captain Jackson Wozniak who committed to Lindenwood as well earlier this week.

Warriors Head Coach Garrett Roth saw Adisen Brueck as not only a talented hockey player, but a person with high character and experience who could help build a team in its inaugural season.  “Adisen is a player we identified as an integral part in building this team from day one”, said Roth.  “We saw his work ethic and accountability as a strength in his game that would be a big part of any success, we would have this season.”

Fifth on the team in scoring, Brueck has been a difference maker on the offensive end that has helped lead to wins for the Warriors.  “Adisen has been one of the most reliable players on our team and he continues to make an impact in different areas of the game for us,” continued Roth. “His confidence continues to grow and that has been the difference this season in his development which has ultimately reflected his offensive production. His character and positive attitude everyday reflects our teams identity.”
