Philadelphia defenseman Kaplowitz makes NCAA commitment
The Philadelphia Rebels of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that Top Prospects defenseman Jared Kaplowitz has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Lake Forest College.
Kaplowitz, 20, just finished his second and final season of playing in the NAHL. The 5’11/185 lbs. native of Marietta, GA, played in 53 regular season games for the Rebels during the 2022-23 season and recorded nine points (1 goal, 8 assists).
He was also selected to and played in the 2023 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament for the East Division Team.
Kaplowitz made his NAHL debut during the 2021-22 season with the Springfield Jr. Blues, recording six points in 19 games played.
Prior to playing in the NAHL, Kaplowitz played in the NAPHL for the Nashville Jr. Predators 18U team during the 2019-20 season and for the TPH Thunder 16U team during the 2018-19 season.
