Odessa forward Fletemeyer makes NCAA commitment

The Odessa Jackalopes, a proud member of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), would like to congratulate forward Marc Fletemeyer on his commitment to play NCAA Division III hockey for Gustavus Adolphus College. Fletemeyer is now the ninth Jackalopes player to commit from the 2022-23 season.

Fletemeyer, 20, just completed his second and final season in the NAHL. The 6’1/200 lbs. native of Colorado Springs, CO started his NAHL career in 2021-22 with the Chippewa Steel. The left-handed forward produced six points (2 goals, 4 assists) in 27 games during his rookie campaign.

During the most recent 2022-23 season, Fletemeyer started by playing seven games with the St. Cloud Norsemen before joining the Odessa Jackalopes. While with Odessa, Fletemeyer tallied two goals and one assist through 23 games.

Gustavus Adolphus College is located in St. Peter, Minnesota. The Golden Gusties play in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. They are led by Head Coach Brett Peterson.

“I’m honored to continue my hockey career and further my education at Gustavus Aldophus. I would like to thank my coaches and family who have helped me along the way to allow me to get to the next level,” said Fletemeyer.

Head Coach Scott Deur stated this regarding Fletemeyer’s commitment. “We are really excited for Marc to further his education and hockey career at Gustavus Adolphus. We have no doubt that he will do great things and we are excited to see what his future holds.”

Prior to playing in the NAHL, Fletemeyer spent three seasons playing in the NAPHL for the Colorado Springs Tigers 18U and 16U teams from 2018-21. In 49 career NAPHL games, Fletemeyer recorded 23 points.
