Saturday Scores: Generals Punch Playoff Ticket

The Bruins put themselves in the drivers seat as they earned three points this weekend

Johnstown 4 @ Maryland 1: In the first period the Johnstown Tomahawks scored two goals by Taybor Aldrich, and Will Moore making the score 2-0. In the second period, the Johnstown Tomahawks scored two goals by Will Moore, and Chase Sandhu making the score 4-0. In the third period, the Maryland Black Bears scored a goal by David Utkin making the final score 4-1. Zach Ferris saved 32 shots for the win, while Colin Ronan saved 36 shots in the loss.

Danbury 3 @ Philadelphia 2: In the first period the Philadelphia Rebels scored two goals by Brayton Frick, and Jared Coccimiglio, and one goal for the Danbury Hat Trick scored by Pierre Larocque making the score 2-1. In the second period, the Danbury Hat Trick scored a goal by Timur Naletov making the score 2-2. In the third period, the Danbury Hat Trick scored a goal by Wyatt Stefan making the finals score 3-2. Thomas Kiesewetter saved 30 shots for the win, while Owen Crudale saved 26 shots in the loss.

Maine 3 @ New Jersey 4: In the first period New Jersey Titans scored two goals by Dominik Bartecko, and Jack Hillier making the score 2-0. In the second period, the New Jersey Titans scored two goals by Arhip Sidarovich, and Dominik Bartecko, and two goals for the Maine Nordiques scored by John Paul Steele, and Evan Orloff making the score 4-2. In the third period, the Maine Nordiques scored a goal by Charles Tardif making the final score 4-3. Dylan Krick saved 36 shots for the win, while Carter Richardson saved 38 shots in the loss.

Rochester 4 @ Northeast 2: In the first period the Rochester Jr Americans scored a goal by Adam Gionta making the score 1-0. In the second period, the Rochester Jr Americans scored two goals by Landon Brownlee, and Massimo Gentile making the score 3-0. In the third period, the Rochester Jr Americans scored a goal by Adam Gionta, and two goals for the Northeast Generals scored by Joseph McGraw, and Frank D’Anconamaking the final score 4-2. Cole O’Donnell saved 31 shots for the win, while Peter Wickstrom Stumer saved 34 shots in the loss.

Chippewa 2 @ Wisconsin 5: In the first period the Wisconsin Windigo scored a goal by Maxwell Martin, and one goal for the Chippewa Steel scored by Cam Davis Making the score 1-1. In the second period, the Wisconsin Windigo scored two goals by Ethan DeKay, and Zachary Cline making the score 3-1. In the third period, the Wisconsin Windigo scored two goals by Braydon Beahm, and Carter Thrissen, and one goal for the Chippewa Steel scored by Scott Miner making the final score 5-2. Max Beckford saved 22 shots for the win, while Carter Wishart saved 27 shots in the loss.

El Paso 6 @ Shreveport 2: In the first period the El Paso Rhinos scored a goal by Bradley Walker, and one goal for the Shreveport Mudbugs scored by Kyan Haldenby making the score 1-1. In the second period, the El Paso Rhinos scored two goals by Tim Mathys, and Camden Bajzer, and one goal for the Shreveport Mudbugs scored by Liam Fleet making the score 3-2. In the third period. The El Paso Rhinos scored three goals by Troy Lund, Bradley Walker, and Tristan Zaksky making the final score 6-2. Joey LoVullo saved 22 shots for the win, while Nikola Goich saved 21 shots in the loss.

Minot 4 @ Bismarck 1: The Minotauros continued their offensive prowess Saturday night, scoring four goals once again to take down the Bobcats 4-1 and secure the weekend sweep. Trevor Stachowiak scored the lone goal in the opening frame to put the visitors ahead. Cayden Casey and Nicholas Sewecke extended the lead with goals in the middle frame. Jack O’Hanisain scored the final goal for Minot while Bismarck’s goal came off the stick of Jakub Kopecky. Lukas Swedin kept out all but one of 20 shots faced in the win. Stephen Peck kept out 28 shots for the Bobcats. 

Austin 3 @ Aberdeen 2: Austin Salani found the decisive goal 6:43 into the final frame to lift the Bruins past Aberdeen 3-2 on the road. After a scoreless first period both offenses got rolling; Damon Furuseth and Jackson Rilei both lit the lamp for Austin while Nikolai Tishkevich and Leonid Bulgakov buried for the Wings. Trent Wiemken was the victor between the pipes, stopping 20 shots in the winning effort. Adam Dybal kept out 37 shots for Aberdeen. 

New Mexico 4 @ Oklahoma 6: The Warriors scored multiple goals in all three periods en route to a 6-4 victory over the Ice Wolves. Carter Sproule and Drew Sutton both buried in the opening frame for Oklahoma. Sebastian Speck and Sutton continued the offense in the 2nd while Michael Schermerhorn and Graham Harris kept New Mexico in the game with scores. The two squads traded goals in the 3rd as Schermerhorn and Ty Tuccitto both scored for the Ice Wolves while Kaden Nelson and Connor Smith buried for the Warriors. Daniel Duris kept out 24 shots in the win while Jackson Fuller and Andy Vlaha combined for 26 saves. 

Colorado 4 @ Amarillo 2: The Colorado Grit picked up a 4-2 win against the Amarillo Wranglers to split the three game series 1-1. The first period was all Colorado as the Grit saw goals from George Poirier, Chris Graves and Quinn Bowden for a 3-0 lead. In the second period, TJ Richey got the Wranglers on the board, 3-1. Late in the second, Noah Grolnic added to the Grit lead to end the period with a 4-1 lead. In the third period, the Wranglers added the last goal of the game from Roman Zap for a 4-2 final. Grit goalie Jack Erickson stopped 35 shots in the win. 

Janesville 1 @ Anchorage 5: The Anchorage Wolverines picked up another win over the Janesville Jets in a 5-1 game. Kade Shea got the Wolverines on the board to end the first period with a 1-0 score. In the second, Tyler Hennen, Arvega Hovsepyan and Cole Christian all added goals to extend the Anchorage lead 4-0. Early in the third, Hovsepyan scored his second goal of the game for a 5-0 Anchorage lead. Soon after, Nick Sajevic got the Jets on the board for a 5-1 final. Liam Beerman spent most of the time in net where he stopped 22 shots in the win. 

Kenai River 4 @ Fairbanks 3: The Kenai River Brown Bears edged the Fairbanks Ice Dogs by a score of 4-3. The first period was tied 1-1 after Brent Gulenchyn scored for Fairbanks and Owen Hanson for Kenai. In the second, Kenai got ahead 2-1 with a goal from Gavin Duckworth. Later in the period, Luca Ricciardi and Reece Cordray scored to get the Ice Dogs ahead 3-2. In the third, Kenai rallied back with Joseph Yoon and Kotaro Tsutsumi to take the win 4-3. Kenai goalie Marks Slavinskis-Repe stopped 31 shots in the win.
