Mountain Kings forward Yates makes NCAA DIII Commitment

April 23, 2024

The New Hampshire Mountain Kings of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Rylan Yates has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Endicott College in the CCC.

Yates, 20, is playing his 2nd season in the NAHL. The California native began his NAHL career in 2021-2022 with the Odessa Jackalopes recording 31 points (11 goals, 20 assists) in 51 games, the fifth leading scorer for the team that season.

The 6’0” forward returned to the NAHL this season where he started off the year playing 13 games with the Kenai River Brown Bears. After his short stint in Alaska, Yates made the switch to the North Iowa Bulls for 25 games before finishing out the year with the Mountain Kings for the remaining 14 games of the season. In total, Yates recorded 16 points (5 goals, 11 assists) in 52 games across the three clubs.

Yates is the 11th player to commit for the Mountain Kings this season and will join teammates Sean Bradley and Jack Costanzo in addition to 8 NAHL alumni at Endicott in the fall.
