Eagles, Chill and Wings all win on Thursday

Soo Eagles 3 @ Johnstown Tomahawks 0 – Former Tomahawks goaltender Colin Brennan got some revenge on his old club on Thursday night as he posted his first shutout of the season, helping the Soo Eagles to a 3-0 road win over the Tomahawks. Brennan stopped all 19 shots that came his way. The Eagles had a balanced offensive attack that struck for a goal in each period. AJ Jarosz scored in the 1st period, Mike Sabatini struck in the 2nd period and Jacob McDowell added a 3rd period tally. Alex Okicki made 20 saves in the loss for Johnstown. Boxscore

Janesville Jets 3 @ Coulee Region Chill 6 – Mac Jansen continued his hot play with a four point night, which included a hat-trick as the Chill doubled up the Jets in a Thursday night home game, 6-3. It was the Jets who scored first on a goal from Adam Winborg. Sean Kalbak answered for the Chill to tie the game at 1-1 after one period. Then Jansen scored all three of his goals in the 2nd period to push the Chill lead to 4-2. Michael Louria had the Jets goal.  After Jordan Himley brought the Jets to within 4-3 late in the 3rd period, Jesse Tredinnick scored two empty-net goals in a :21 second span to put the game on ice for Coulee Region. Aberdeen Wings 6 @ Brookings Blizzard 3 – Four different players had multi-point nights as the Wings took to the road to double up Brookings on Thursday, 6-3. Ryan Cook, Patrick Steinhauser Dillon Eichstadt and Jonathan Grebosky all had two points on the night. The Wings jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the 1st period on goals from Cook and Steinhauser. After Nick DeCenzo made it 2-1 midway through the 2nd period, Grebosky responded to make it 3-1.  Three more goals in the 3rd period on two markers from Eichstadt and another from Daniel Billet put the game out of reach. Eric Brenk scored twice in the 3rd period for Brookings. Boxscore
